What we did
Ethicura Dental is a dental clinic in Bangalore. Ample Grid handled two things for it: the lighting, and the CCTV.
It is a commercial job rather than a home, and we show it for that reason. A clinic is used hard, all day, by people who did not choose to be there, and it is a fair test of whether an installation is built to be lived with.
Why lighting matters in a clinic
Most patients walk into a dental clinic slightly on edge. The reception is the first thing they see, and harsh, flat light makes a waiting room feel clinical in the wrong sense. Soft, even light from the ceiling does the opposite without anyone noticing it.
Treatment areas need the reverse: bright, consistent light where the work happens. Getting both right in one premises is a question of planning the circuits before the ceiling goes up, which is the same argument we make for every home.
Why CCTV matters in a clinic
A clinic keeps equipment, records and a cash desk, and it sits empty every night. Cameras earn their place only if the recording is there on the morning someone needs it, and the owner can check it without calling anyone in.
